2nd Annual
HSWC Spring Fling Mutt Strut

April 29

The Humane Society held its annual Spring Fling Mutt Strut on April 29, 2006. Over 160 participants and pooches enjoyed a one mile walk in the country along with music by Blake and Fallon, agility demonstrations, silent auction, and pet product and service information. The weather was perfect and the event was so successful that we ran out of HSWC dogs at the Rent-A-Mutt booth. Some of those lucky mutts even captured the hearts of their renters and got to go to new forever homes.

A highlight for many participants was a surprise visit by Frylock, the collie puppy who won the hearts of many central Texans when his need for knee surgery to correct a birth defect and was featured in our local news.
