Item Donation

A very attractive means of supporting the HSWC, while reducing your federal income tax liability, is by donating appreciated assets (such as art, securities, property, etc.). Under current IRS regulations, the donor is allowed to claim the appreciated value of such a gift to a 501(c)(3) organization and bypass any capital gains on the asset. Please contact the HSWC Treasurer for further information.

HSWC is also happy to accept old cell phones and used printer cartridges. Please drop them off at the shelter and we will recycle them for you!
